Day One
A private car will pick you up from the airport or from your hotel in Medan. It will take about 4 hours from Kuala Namu International Airport to Bukit Lawang or approximately 3 hours from your Medan hotel to Bukit Lawang. When you arrive in Bukit Lawang, one of our staff will be waiting for you at the meeting point with a porter who will carry your luggage for you.

You will head directly to our hotel partner in Bukit Lawang, the cozy Jungle Inn with spectacular views of the jungle from your room and restaurant. The sound of the river will add to the tranquility of your stay at Jungle Inn. It is truly one of the best hotels in Bukit Lawang.

Day Two
Get ready to embark on an epic Jungle Trek into Gunung Leuser National Park where you will see wild orangutans in their habitat up close. After finishing breakfast (between 8-9 AM) in the hotel restaurant, our guide and his assistant will be ready to escort you into the mysterious jungle.

Our knowledgeable local guide will explain, in detail, all about the Sumatran tropical rainforest, about the lives of the orangutans and all of the other exciting wild flora and fauna. This trip will take approximately 6 to 7 hours of trekking, during which you will be given time to take photos and observe the beauty of the wild flora and fauna. The guide will also give detail about all of the natural wonders you will witness.

At 11:30 our guide will stop for a short rest and will serve fresh fruits for you to enjoy. This will also be a perfect time for you to ask the guide any information you wish to know.

When you finish enjoying the fresh local fruits, our guide will escort you deeper into the forest until lunch time. At 1:00 p.m. our guide will take a short break to prepare your lunch. At this time, you can enjoy your lunch with the beautiful atmosphere of the Sumatran rainforest.

Once you have finished lunch you will continue your journey deeper into the jungle until you arrive at the river Bahorok where one of our staff will be waiting to takeyou rafting on the river. No need to worry about your luggage as we provide special waterproof bags for your goods including your valuables.

When you arrive back at Jungle Inn you will have time to relax and, of course, on this extraordinary and rather tiring day, we will provide a traditional massage from our staff to nurture your body. Our massage staff has extensive and impressive knowledge of their art and therefore can provide the utmost relaxing service for you.

After a day of jungle trekking, you will be treated to another comfortable night at Jungle Inn.

For your Jungle Trek we will provide the following:

• Permit to enter Mount Leuser National Park
• A large bottle of mineral water per person (feel free to bring your own bottle to reduce plastic waste)
• Traditional trekking shoes made from rubber and socks (this will help with your comfort and are non-slip)
• Fruit for snacking and a delicious lunch

Day Three
On your third day we will take you to the hidden forests of Tangkahan, where you will visit the famous Sumatran elephants. After breakfast at Jungle Inn, served between 8 and 9 am, our guide and driver will be ready to take you to Tangkahan. A private car will be provided (travel time is approximately 2.5 hours from Bukit Lawang to Tangkahan).

Once you arrive in Tangkahan, you will have the opportunity to soak in hot springs near a stunning waterfall. At 1 pm our guide will take you to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, surrounded by the tranquility of the forest.

After lunch you will follow the guide to the river where you will be able to give the magnificent elephants a natural bath. Take your time to embrace this once in a lifetime experience. After you have finished bathing with the elephants (these majestic animals will also give you a natural shower with their trunks!), your driver and guide will take you back to Bukit Lawang to stay one more night at Jungle Inn.

Day Four

The next day is a sad day for us, as we must say goodbye. After a relaxing breakfast at Jungle Inn restaurant, a porter will be ready to bring your luggage back to the original meeting point where a driver will be ready and waiting to take you on to your next destination or back to the Kuala Namu Aiport.
